We are a semi-retired couple living in a log cabin in a rural forested area of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  The great Lake Superior is our pool.

The information contained in this website is based on our own years of camping experience gleaned while traveling around the country with a tent as our living quarters as well as the knowledge handed down from our ancestors through our parents who knew how to live off the land and fend for themselves.

We now impart this knowledge to you and hope it will benefit anyone venturing into the wilderness or suddenly finding themselves in a survival situation.
